LETONAS

Characteristics

Appearance

At first glance, the Letonas are very simplistic. They have monochrome colors, with distinct markings. Some have masks over their eyes, stripes down their backs, or different colored feet. Their eyes usually have the most color.

Naming

Many Letonas have a reference to plant life in their name, though this is not required. Some examples include Rosalia (Rose), Yarreza (Yarrow), Tulisa (Tulip), Delphia (Delphinium), Yarron (Yarrow).

Traits

Loyal – Ritualistic – Earthly

The Letonas are heavily dedicated to the tribe. While they may venture from it, and likely will, their goals and hearts are usually bound to the tribe. They are extremely loyal to one another because of this.

They are also ritualistic. After every kill there is a prayer that is expected to be said. At the change of seasons a blessing is given. They highly respect the shamans, who along with the Regent, interpret the will of the world around them.

Their ritual work is very in tune with their sense of protection of the earth. They do not believe in needless killing, but they will maim if the punishment requires it. Every herb they pick, every prey they kill, is seen as a blessing from the Mother.

They also believe the mother gifted them with pleasure. This is one of their ultimate rites. This is why, it is rare for Letonas to keep one mate, though it is not unheard of.
